OCTAVIO The Dweeb glaubt fest daran: "Someday I’ll Be Happy“
So richtig akzeptiert von den anderen Kids um ihn herum, fühlte sich OCTAVIO The Dweeb in seiner Jugend nie. Und auch heute, mit Anfang 20, fühlt sich der in Mexiko geborene Musiker, der mittlerweile in LA wohnt, noch als Außenseiter. Mit seinem beschwingten Popsong „Someday I’ll Be Happy“, zeigt er aber, dass er den Glauben daran, eines Tages doch noch sein Glück zu finden, noch lange nicht verloren hat.
Die Musikstile, die OCTAVIO the Dweeb in seiner Musik vermischt sind vielfältig. Von Rock über Pop bis hin zu Rap und Latin-Einflüssen, findet sich hier so ziemlich alles. Sein Vater brachte ihm nicht nur mit 14 Jahren das Gitarrespielen bei – er spielte im auch Alben von AC/DC, Pink Floyd und Led Zeppelin vor. In der heutigen Musiksammlung von OCTAVIO The Dweeb finden sich aber genauso Bands wie Fun oder Keane.
Sein Song „Someday I’ll be Happy” hat einen überaus hohen persönlichen Stellenwert für OCTAVIO The Dweeb, wie er erzählt: „Someday I’ll be happy is a thought that’s always in the back of my head. It’s a motivator for me. It’s never bad to shy away from mental health and it’s something I’ve dealt with for a long time now just like a lot of people. It’s important for me to express this in a genuine way. This song just captures that feeling of someday i’ll be fucking happy! Maybe not today, tomorrow, or the next day, but someday. It’s easy to hide emotions and seem like you’re perfectly happy but most of us are just trying to get to someday.”
