"Talkin’ ’bout a revolution/go vote": Tracy Chapman ändert ihren Song auf die heutige US-Wahl um

Tracy Chapman gab sich gestern für eine seltene TV-Performance die Ehre, ihre erste seit 2015. Sie hatte einen triftigen Grund – die heutigen US-Präsidentschaftswahlen. "This is the most important election of our lifetime. It is imperative that everyone vote to restore our democracy", betonte die 56-Jährige zu Beginn ihres Auftritts in der Late Night Show von Seth Meyers. Anschließend sang sie ihren großen Hit "Talkin’ Bout a Revolution" aus dem Jahr 1998, leicht angepasst auf die aktuelle Situation: "Talkin’ ’bout a revolution/go vote", sang Chapman im Refrain, wobei hinter ihr ein "VOTE"-Schild prangte.
