"You Are Who You Hang Out With", sagen The Front Bottoms und kündigen ihr neues Album an

The Front Bottoms melden sich drei Jahre nach ihrem letzten Album "In Sickness & in Flames" mit der Ankündigung eines neuen Longplayers zurück – und schon der Titel bleibt hängen: "You Are Who You Hang Out With", sag mir welche Freunde du hast, und ich sage dir, was für ein Mensch du bist, sagen uns die Indie-Rocker aus New Jersey mit ihrem neuen Longplayer, der am 4. August erscheint. Schon jetzt gibt es die Single "Punching Pag", zu der man unten das Musikvideo ansehen kann. Auch der im April veröffentlichte Track "Outlook" ist Teil des Tracklistings.

Das Musikvideo entstand unter der Regie von Sänger und Lead-Gitarrist Brian Sella, der kommentiert: "I made this video because I really love the song and it felt like a special opportunity to create some visuals for it. I really hope everyone enjoys it and I hope this video inspires everybody to believe in themselves and stay creative.”

"You Are Who You Hang Out With" wurde mit Produzent Mike Sapone im Studio von The Front Bottoms in New Jersey und bei Ghost Hit Recording in Massachusetts aufgenommen und kann ab sofort vorbestellt werden. Das Album hat all das, wofür man die Band liebt: hymnische Melodien, explosive Hooks und Lyrics, die einem direkt aus der Seele sprechen. Im Fall von "Punching Bag" geht es darum, einfach mal den angestauten Frust rauszulassen: "There was resentment built up / Never expressed properly / I guess you could say that it got the same / As everything that gets between you and me", singt Sella, und schlägt vor: Why don't you put your boxing gloves on / And punch your punching bag?"
