Die neue EP "RYTME" ist da, begleitet vom fantastischen Video zur Single "The Bender"
Matomas Musikvideo zu "The Bender" hat einen sehr zeitgemäßen Special Effect zu bieten: überall in der Großstadt schwebende Klopapierrollen! Und auch sonst geht es in dem Visual sehr fantastisch zu, wie ihr unten seht. Wir verraten so viel: da schweben längst nicht nur Klopapierrollen durch die Luft… In seiner neuen Single mit Brando verarbeitet Matoma ein Sample des Klassikersongs "September" von Earth, Wind & Fire aus dem Jahr 1978. Voll im Hier & Jetzt ist derweil einmal mehr die Produktion des Norwegers.
"The Bender" ist Teil der neuen EP "RYTME" von Matoma, die am Freitag erschien ("Rytme" ist "Rhythmus" auf Norwegisch). Die EP enthält insgesamt sechs Songs voll guter Energie. Matoma kommentiert: "My tastes and inspirations always evolve but in the past year I've really enjoyed writing more uptempo music, so I had the idea for this next EP to be all about club-paced music for the dancefloor. I pulled together a few ideas I've been working on and tested many of them out on my last tour, so it was incredible to watch live reactions to songs no one has heard before!"
Als weitere Gäste neben Brando wirken Georgia Ku, Bryn Christopher, Griff Clawson, Anna Clendening und die norwegische Kollegin Alida mit. Zu der Auswahl seiner Gäste kommentiert der DJ/Producer: "Above all my inspiration will always be incredible voices that can move you and fill you with different emotions. This EP allowed me to work with a really exciting and diverse range of vocalists and capture a different range of vibes."
